My motor home stoplight has stopped working and the red plastic lens has faded. I want to replace it with a very bright LED assembly if possible.
The photo shows what I have.
Can someone suggest a really good replacement?

Holy Moly Ted:
First the power cord, then the brakes, and now the rear brakelight. Sounds like you might be in the market for a new(er) rig. Have you thought about calling Lichtsinn Rv in Forest City to see if they might have an after-market kight?

Be sure to replace both left and right side. Also replace the complete assembly, reflector, LED, and lens as one unit. Just inserting an LED light source in a traditional bulb assembly not only does not work well, it is against the law in some locations.

Yep, it seems to be falling apart piece by piece!
Some of the replacements seem cheaply made and all that I checked so far are made in China. I just might hang a couple of old railroad lanterns on the back and have the DW wave a red flash light out the window when we have to stop...that will work

I think what Flytyer is wanting to replace is the red horizontal brake light assembly about half way up the rear of his MH.

JC2,
Under "Stop/Turn/Tail Lamps" look at the 13.6" Slim STT light bar or the 15 7/16" Slim STT light bar depending on the length you need.

BEFORE BUYING A NEW LIGHT I would want to make sure the old one is getting power. ...and are you sure it isn't an LED unit?? My '03 Ultimate third brake light was an LED unit from the factory (no other LED lights on the coach inside or out ...but I did have to replace it a couple of years ago when it began to get water inside the fixture, and it was already faded almost to white ...but it had RED LEDs inside so it did still shine red when I hit the brake. It just looked terrible. I did some searching online and found a place that had it ...mine is broader than the one in your pic.
