Storage Condos

We're considering a heated, 24' X 50' unit for our motor home. There aren't a lot of indoor storage options in our area and the price seems to be reasonable (slightly higher than renting).

I'd like to hear from people who have looked at this option. What did you decide and why?

I just found a indoor storage place that's heated for $120 a month, they guarantee it stays between 45 and 70 degrees year-round. I'm leaning toward it. Just drain the water and call it a day.

We bought a condo. Keep the coach in it when we are home and use the boat. Keep the boat in it along with the neighbors Pleasureway in it during the winter when we are gone

I chose indoor for my new Coachmen. Don't have to worry about cold here in San Diego, but the constant sun is hard on the exterior and tires. Included in the price - a wash when I bring it back, plugged in twice a month to keep the batteries charged, and when I take it out they will start the fridge, fill the fresh water, and check tire pressures before I pick it up.

For a fee, they will deliver to you, fill the gas & propane, even dump tanks (that fee is pretty steep ) and a few other things, including arranging for a mobile mechanic for routine maintenance. And they are even nice to talk to! Check out Big Toy Depot (</title> <script type='text/javascript'> var nxsboxL10n = { loadingAnimation: "http://bigtoydepot.com/wp-content/themes/selfstorage/nexusframework/stable/images/loadingnxsbox.png" }; </script> <script type="text/javascript"> document.documentElement.)

Yes, a little pricey - maybe 3x an outdoor place. But they put time back in my day by filling the propane, my tires last a little longer, my batteries last longer without going completely flat, I don't have to buy a cover for to protect the finish... some of that extra cost avoids or defers other expenses.

Indoor parking in my area goes anywhere from $230 to $410 per month. Your chance of finding a vacancy on any of those $230 units is slim to none.

Actually the 120 is for my coach (24ft). They charge 30 per foot. And run a special for the season.
