I noticed some strange bumps on the inside wall. I cut back the vinyl and the substance that is causing the bumps is dry. It feels like popcorn and is dry. Below are some photos of the area. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this and might know what is causing it.

Sometimes this is a result of glue and dust in making of the wall at the factory. Sometimes it can be a result from water intrusion. Yours looks to be more like a dried glue and possible dust under the vinyl when they made the wall. As long as it does not get worse and you find no water intrusion, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the info. I have contacted Fourwinds to see what they have to say. The first time I noticed it about 2 weeks ago there were 2-3 bumps... we were out of country for a week for a missions trip and when I returned I fould a trail of bumps.. No more have appeared since I cleaned the ones in the photos off and everything is dry. It does look like blobs of glue to me, but it is strange that it just appeared.

Are you sure that it is not some kind of mold?

It does not have the feel of mold. Feels more styrofoam or popcorn. There are no signs of water nor is anything even damp, but I guess it could be.

I had a similar case in our other camper. I never figured out what it was before we traded it in. The glue and dust theory makes sense to me.

Here is the answer I received from Fourwinds. "The bumps is caused by water intrusion from a window or exterior molding leaking due to the sealer having gaps. The first thing that needs to be done is to have the wall paper removed then sand down the bumps and apply Kilz's primer let dry for 24 hrs, then reapply new wall paper."

Which is what I figured but wanted to make sure. The area that is leaking has to be small and it will probably be hard to find, but I need to find it before it gets worse!

Take the unit to a repair facility that has a Seal Tec duct blower type machine to pressurize the inside of the coach and then give it a bath. You should be able to fine the leaks this way. Bubbles come out where the air from inside comes out.

Thanks for the info. At the hourly rate most RV shops charge I believe I will look for the leaks myself. I already invision a blower attached to the RV and using lots of soap around the coach! I have a good idea of where to start, just need to tackle the 100 degree temp outside!
