Sunchaser Awning help

I have a manual Sunchaser awning by Dometic. The end cap on one of the arms broke and Sunchaser says that it is not available. I must purchase the entire torsion assembly kit just to get an end cap. Model 9000, any ideas.
Has anyone replaced as torsion assembly on the awning? I rather just get the cap. The kit is 60 bucks.

The torsion spring assembly on an A&E awning is easy to replace - I've done a couple. It is easier if you have a buddy to help - things go better with extra hands - but the procedure is easy enough. Detailed instructions come with the new spring assembly.
