Just received a mechanism blade seal in the mail for my Thetford Aria toilet. Did not order it or expect it.

Any ideas? Recall, TSB etc.

To be honest, my wife has noticed urine odor occasionally. Originally thought it was the developing aim of my young son. However, even after clean up still would linger.

Also, if this was a recall/tsb and there was a leak. Where do I look for damage?

Finally, to replace the part is pretty involved per the diretions. I'm thinking I'll have the factory do it when I'm down there next week.

Good idea for the factory to do the job. They should know the reason you received the part.

Scott if you have a Sealand toilet check the stainless steel band around bottom of bowl they loosen up and water will come thru that seal. You can use a screwdriver or socket, just snug it up.
The band pulls the seal tight between bowl and floor pedestal.

Maybe call or email Thetford and ask why you received the part?

Thetford Customer service is 1-800-521-3032
