Spray some T-9 on the mating surfaces and that will never happen again.

I could use a 2nd flagpole.. thanks for the lead.

Mine (A Sunsetter) uses a pin lock, Works well and is currently holding up the Wi-Fi modem so I can see the park's router from way too far away so you can read this message.. As you can see. it's working.

PAPAW1, this pole comes with an American flag and a lower mount for a second one underneath. Since it is not made for RV use it comes with a pvc sleeve to cement in the ground, but I used the sleeve to attach it to the roof ladder and it works fine. I can drop the pole down and travel with it mounted to the ladder, pull it up ,put in the pins and it is ready for use. (yes we take the flag down for travel) and we have a solar spot light on the top of the ladder that shines on the flag at night. Hope this helps.....DACOTAH

I'm considering a flag pole for our RV. We've had a telescopic 20' Sunsetter for many years at the house. No problems with jamming or raising and lowering it. They make a plate to go under a wheel to mount it in but we boondock mostly so I would have a section of pipe welded to a hitch or more likely permanently to the rear bumper and could just stick it in the pipe to hold it. That way if the RV is level the flag pole is not leaning.

Well I'm sorry guys but personally I have a problem with flying an American (or service connected) flag on a Chinese pole. I think an American flag and pole needs to be made in USA.

Not trying to be a troll, just my feelings on this subject.

Moving forward, aluminum parts that slide together, living in a salt air environment are a recipe for disaster.

I agree, and that is why I get my flag poles from Flag Pole Buddy

Don't know where the pole is made but the Sunsetter U.S. flag is made in the U.S.A. and the replacement flags I have purchased from them over the years are also made in the U.S. I don't buy any flags or hardware at Wal-Mart.

Another source

In case you're looking, we bought our flagpole from the Flagpole Guys (www.RVFlagpoleguys.com) at an RV show a couple of years ago. It's a 22' fiberglass pole that breaks down to about 4'. It comes with fittings for two flags and is strong enough to withstand 50 mph winds. We use the Flagpole Buddy ladder mount mentioned above, which I got at the same booth. Made in the USA.

I looked at mounting a flagpole on the ladder but I think I'm going with a bumper mount. Found a mounting pipe on a four bolt plate to just drop it in that I can bolt on the back of the bumper.
