And what if you had a slide within a slide? Telescopic -> New concept

Slides that are a slide within a slide... Provides almost 50% more slide area

Once the outer slide extends, the inner slide continues to extend outward like telescopic.

Only have to watch how far out it extends.... and comes with extender stabilizer jacks.

Imagine 30 foot wide RV's

Patent?

Just like me always late on the ideas. Maybe someday everyone will be later than me on the idea and I can retire on it. Probably not!

You would not have gotten rich on this idea. The leak potential and reality was high.

National invented it then went bankrupt. Then Monaco bought all of Nationals patents. Now the 2010 Monaco Dynasty Majestic IV has a telescopic slide.

Perhaps the telescopic slide would be able to extend farther but, in alot of RV parks they would probably be limited due to narrow RV spaces. I just went to the RV show in Pomona CA and saw the Country Coach Veranda model (extending patio) which I didn't find practical because, ( would you want to set on your patio and be 1' from your neighbor's RV / window) ? I asked the salesman if he would open it at an RV park, and his reply was "if the space was wide enough".

Speaking of the CC Veranda anyone ever think about how nice looking the patio wall will look in the travel mode with foot traffic, it'll be like a designer wall.

First time I have seen one, neet concept. Could also become a mechanical nightmare. I would like to hear from someone that has had one for a while.

Often, people design something that no-one needs or wants. I think a slide within a slide is one such invention.

As we used to say "I want some of what that Guy was smoking"!

The advantage of the telescoping slide is INTERIOR space. You can get almost twice the slide depth without needing room for those deep slide walls when it is brought in. Very handy for a bedroom, where the bed takes up a lot of room.

Some people will like it and some won't. I don't particularly like it due to narrow sites and you end up having to crawl into bed and I would be concerned about excess "flex". But I agree that it does get large pieces of furniture further out of the way and creates more floor space, but at the cost of less "outdoor space".
