In my searches for a dealer who is closer to home than where I bought my coach, I ran across a very interesting law in the state of Texas.
The Texas New-Car Dealers have gotten together and we now have a law that a motor-vehicle under warranty can only be serviced at a genuine dealer-location for that brand. In other words, if you take your new vehicle to a different dealer (ie, an independent mechanic, or a dealer that does not carry that brand, etc) for service they cannot be reimbursed by that manufacturer.

Huh? That's what I said.

Thanks!
Ron

I would bet that this is actually geared to the "lemon law". If you don't take it to an actual brand specific dealer, then the parts and paperwork is slowed to the point that it may be in the shop too long and fall in a condition to meet some lemon law requirements. This new law may prevent this from happening.
