We have a DP so it's a bit different than the OP's situation. We just bought ours two weeks ago and are in the process of getting it registered now. I was told by the lien holder that they would pay the taxes to our county's tax assessor but didn't realize that we'd still need to do some work on our end. I got a call yesterday from the tax assessor stating they require a proof of VIN(should get with state inspection), computerized, signed copy of a weight(CAT scales), title and a picture of the RV. .??
We live in Hood Co and are not subject to emissions for ANY vehicle. The state requires emissions testing in counties with a certain population and it includes their bordering counties. We're two counties out so we're exempt. Diesels don't get emission tested even in Dallas/Tarrant Co. Only gasoline engines. MH do not require any type of special inspection. Same sticker/price as the car you drive.
