The financial aspect of buying a motorhome

Most, if not all, potential MH buyers face this important factor when considering the purchase. This link contains the best overall assessment I've ever read or even heard of: A business approach to buying a motorhome | WinnebagoLife

Interesting way to look at the costs. I need to change that since we have always been campers and have just recently moved from a 34' TT to a 37' DP.

My costs will only change in increases in Insurnace, Accessories and Maintenance. The Variable costs will be the same unless we change the lifestyle and how we use the unit.

This will then give us the net on the cost of unit change.

Still an interesting way to look at costs.

Very well written. Never thought I would have a Motorhome. Now that I do, I use a spreadsheet when planning the camping season. The nice thing is all of my stays are extended, so grocery cost is the same or slightly higher than staying at home. Of course the coach gets about 1/2 the gas mileage of my SUV, but for the time I am camping I am using no gas, so this has kept me within my gas budget. I already emotionally prepared for year 4 $$$$$ for tires. Thank you Ray,IN. This is very valuable information and very well organized.
