I found the wed site for the United State map for places you visited. My question is do I track places I visited as camping or all the places I visited period. I see many map in this forum with lot of places are you guys tracking just camping or all.

I'd say that's up to you, but I believe it'd be more accurate if you only did the one's you camped at....Just my opinion, but obviously it's your map.

My wife and I traveled quite a lot in my pre-retirement job, and before that while I was in the military. As a result, we've been in all but a handful of states.

So, we just highlight those states that we have visited for the first time with our rescued Brittany. He's up to 19 and counting.

Looks like you had to make a post to get it to come up....I'm going to take it and shrink it a little if you don't mind...

If you are placing the image on a web-site that you control, you could use more than one map: one for 'visited' and the other for 'camped'.

I put two on the photos page of my web site: one for states visited, the other for extended stays assisting ministries.

They also offer size settings so you can select a smaller one for signatures and other places that "always show" (where the reader does not have control over avoiding when on low bandwidth connections).

That's much better but what would I need to do if I need to update it? How did you resize it?

We got friends that put the state on even if they just pass thru, and you know who you are. We have to stay overnight to put a sticker on.

Well, I heard a story about the Florida Boomers once and they only put the sticker on if ... you know..."don't bother knockin' if the camper's..." We put stickers on in any state that we have camped one night or more.

Must be what George Washington did, you know the places you used to see "George Washington slept here".

Only placed the sign where he slept overnight.
