On the roof, most if not all manufacturers use Dicor Lap Sealant as it's much better than silicone.

On the sidewalls, Dicor can be used if it matches you color, otherwise clear silicone is less noticeable on painted rigs.

I hated re-caulking so much I used eternabond roofing tape on all seams an eliminated that concern.

When you did the roof seams did you use 2" or 4" eternabond. I'm thinking of doing mine and I'm wondering if 2" width gives good cover.

If you go with eternabond go for the 4in.
