I am a newbie to RV's.

Have the 454 Chev engines switched to fuel injection or throttle bodie in lieu of carberators? If so, what year did they change?

Thanks
Howard

Howard,
Welcome to irv2 .
I believe it was about 1989 when Chevy switched to throttle body fuel injection. I think it was 1996 when they came out with the Vortec with port fuel injection. I do know that my 1996 shop manual lists the Vortec as an option on the motor home chassis.
Hope this helps a little,
Loren

Goodwins, I believe you can order a kit to convert a carb model to a throttle body injection. I think maybe Jags auto supply may have them. They are not cheap. You can do a search for Jags.
