Just purchased a used RV that has been parked awhile. Looking for some decent used tires in the Cincinnati area just to get thru this summer on if anyone has any suggestions. 225/70R 19.5

In the search bar on google maps type "used tires near cincinnati, OH. It should give you a list of used tire outlets in your area. I got quite a few hits. If you type in your specific address you will see the used tire outlets in relation to your location.

If you can, bite the bullet and get new and check the DOT numbers for when they were manufactured, used or new. The last 4 numbers of the DOT string indicate week and year. Example: 2010 would be 20th week of 2010. Don't forget that lives depend on those pieces of rubber hitting the ground.

I don't know what brand your tires are, but Michelin has some good reference material on their web page here.

The RV Tire Guide has photos showing examples of tread wear and cracking.

The Service Life Bulletin says tires should be inspected by a specialist starting at 5 years. It also says most tires will have been replaced by 10 years of age; but if not, they should be replaced at 10 years no matter how good they look.
