I had to replace my new tires with new tires because they probably sat too long before i got it, plus they were the wrong weight rating and they were under inflated. The new tires cured the bouncing/shaking/vibration but it still seems to ride a little rough or stiff could it be the shocks? They look like the originals and have only 31K miles on them but are 10 years old. so how can you tell on a MH if the shocks are bad if they are not leaking? or is it supposed to ride like that? it's 2002 fleetwood pace arrow 37ft.Thanks

A couple of suggestions, first weigh your coach, then refer to the tire manufacturers load inflation table and then adjust your tire pressure to that recommended on the table to support the axle weights of your coach.

Also there should be a label located somewhere in your coach, usually in the cockpit area drivers side that lists recommended tire pressure for your coach. On our 37'8" coach the recommended tire pressure is 80psi.

We replaced our shocks at 12,000 miles the left front factory shock was completely shot.

For a more comfortable ride I would highly recommend the Koni FSD series shocks.

You need to weigh your rig and set the tire pressure as recommended.

Over inflating will cause a harsh ride.

Before I spent any money on shocks I'd get the pressure set correctly.

I would definately go with a new set of shocks. We replaced ours at 22,000 miles. 3 of the 4 had no resistance whatsoever and the 4th was leaking.

We were experiencing excessive porpoising at bridge and pavement expansion joints(good indication) that the Koni FSDs took care of. I had the coach four corner weighed and found we were using 10 & 15 psi too much pressure in the tires. That took care of most of the ride harshness. IMHO, some of that 'firm' ride will never go away because of the HD leaf springs...nature of the beast.

I also had the caster increased +5 degrees, aligned the front end and also added a rear trac bar to correct for all the excessive steering corrections caused by crosswinds and tractor/trailer passings. Now, very pleased with the ride and handling of our W-22 chassis.
