Ken,

How off level can you actually go? I've run mine with a side tilt that you could detect but didn't screw your balance up. It was fine, but on my mind the whole time.

The newer units can tolerate a bit more un-level than the older units. Look in the owners manual for your model, and it gives the maximum tilt that the unit can stand fore and aft and side to side.
