Today's project

Ever since we bought our motorhome I have wanted to get rid of the "death ray" wall sconces mounted over the dinette. When you turn these on you got this blaring light that illuminated nothing in particular and everything in general.
I came across some wall mount lamps at Ikea, in a brushed steel finish with shade for $14.95 each.
I wanted to use LED bulbs because we boondock and use 12 volt a lot. The fixtures take an E12 chandelier bulb but I wanted to use a standard base 12 volt LED bulb. So I bought a couple of E12 to A26 adapters at the local Menards and ordered the LED bulbs through Amazon.
Today I removed the old fixtures and installed the new. They work GREAT, just enough light to read by and they don't blind you with glare like the wall sconces did.
Here are some photos. The photos are not so great as they were taken with my cell phone but you get the idea.
Total cost including the bulbs was ~$72
