Toilet Problem

I drained both the black and gray tanks this am. This evening, when trying to flush the toilet, the ball valve seems to open and the bowl starts filling with water, almost overflowing. Since it is late, I went outside and turned the water supply off along with the water heater. In the am, I am going to flush both holding tanks again and connect a hose to my blank tank for external rinsing. At this point I don't know what else I can do after that except to call a rv repairman. The name on the toilet is Traveler. We have noticed during the past several days, that the toilet makes a bubbling sound when the foot pedal is pressed.
Any other suggestions??
We had planned on returning home in the morning but figure that may have to wait a couple of hours.

More than likely the tank is full due to the bubbling when you were able to flush but verify that by opening flush valve on toilet and using a long piece of 2x2 and push it to the bottom of the tank. If there is no blockage in the pedestal or floor flange then the tank dump valve is either not opening or is blocked by tissue or something. Verify the valve feels like the blade is being pulled back by evidence or a little liquid weeping out the termination connector. Be mindful that if it is blocked, it could release at any moment so, be prepared to close it in a hurry. If you feel it is blocked, use a back flow type wash out fitting on the termination bonnet fitting and connected to a sewer hose. Try forcing water pressure back into the tank in bursts. Hopefully you can break it loose and get at least some draining. If you can get it drained some but not completely, you can contact a septic tank cleaning company and you can try getting them to pull out the blockage with their pump out truck. Many times I have had success with this but if not, then you will want a RV repair service do the repairs. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.

Success!!! I ended up using my awning pull down device and was able to clear the blockage just under the ball valve. We wiped it down with a clorox wipe and are good to go (no pun intended). Thanks for the quick response.

My floor flange has a 30 degree turn before it drops into the tank. A steel tool probably would have damaged the pipe. I used an old hose with the barb cut off the tip as a flexible ram. Now I carry that hose in a marked waterproof bag for the next time it happens.
