I watched the U-Tube video's to change my seals in my Sealand toilet. It was pretty easy. There were a few calcium deposits that I needed to clean off with my wife's toothbrush (just kidding or am I?) and I used a small scrapper. If you use a scrapper just be careful you don't damage the ball/flapper. Also as you remove the top of the toilet, be aware where everything is positioned as you remove. Best of luck.

How old are these Toilets?
Ours has and still hold's water. We had to replace the Flush Valve, when we got her (lack of use by previous owner) but that was it. We've had it for 5 years?
Never heard of having to clean it. I mean I clean the toilet but never used a emery board. Just a toilet brush
