Currenty have the sealand china toilet w/a foot pedal. After having seen some push button models and heard that you can take the toilets out of "economy" mode.

Is it possible or relatively simple to upgrade toilets?

If so, what kind do I look at? I have looked at Thetfor and Dometics websites but, I can't figure out what is what.

To confuse you even more here are a bunch of toilets for your change out. The 12v electric will be as auto as you want and also save water when dry camping. This web site has sales and its also where I purchase my new electric steps at good prices.
The toilet is easy to change out you will just have to get 12v's from some place to feed for electric part of it.
