Does "gliding all over the place" mean they give a nice comfortable ride or they are having a negative effect on control?

Very pleased with ride quality on Toyos, but we've only put about 2K miles on so far. They were a marked improvement over the GYs that were there when we bought the rig last summer. They were all 2001 originals, but the rig only had 12K on it. We only did one trip before we replaced the GYs.

We went for Toyos because we have a very good local Les Schwab tire shop. The manager went out of his way to search warehouse inventory and got me a set that were less than six weeks old.

Put ours on a year ago and put 6-7K miles on them since. No wandering, ride is better than those Michelins I took off.

I had the same problem on my 99 HR Endeavor with Toyos. Lower the tire pressure 5 lbs. Handles great.

fxdave, I just put new Toyo 265/75R22.5 and am running 85psi fronts and 95psi rears. You need to get your coach weighed and go by the tire pressures recommended by the Toyo Tire Pressure charts. I think your wandering problem is from running to much air pressure. If it still wanders maybe a front end alignment.

Sammie

Think your running too high of pressure, my Endeavor I'm running under 100# where I ran 105 on the Michelins I took off. But I only have 400 miles on the new and Monday we head for Alaska so I will do a little adjust here and there.

Makes sense to me. You get that float/sliding feel untill the tire get some miles on them. 1k-2k should do it. Big tires with new rubber just do it.

I had the same problem that I got at Les Schwab several years ago. After about 1K/2K it started to go away. I decided it must be the sharp edges on the tread (they are semi traction). It wasn't over inflation because I only run 55. (tire have 80 max).
