Traveling Interstate 10

Does anyone know how the route Interstate 10 from Fl. to Ms. is to travel? Also are there any nice RV parks that are on the ocean. We are looking for a nice park in Mississippi that has a good view of the ocean.

I'm sure others will be along with some particular cg recommendations. The following link will also be very useful in finding what you need. Click on any state and the following screen will have a list of its cities for that state, a cg for each and how previous guests have rated them.

I-10 is bad for the 5 or so miles on the very east end and 7 mi or so just east of Lafayette. Other than that is in pretty good shape. That said I don't drive I-10 from BR to slidell since I live in Denham Springs along I-12 which if NO is not a stop it is much easier and faster to bypass it by taking I-12 from Slidell to BR

Depends on what you call ocean, Atlantic Ocean - no, Gulf of Mexico - yes.
Mississippi has around 50 miles of coastline on the Gulf.

Biloxi is nice. Hold onto your rent money though!

These people asked about I-10 from Florida to Mississippi - Louisiana is not on that section...
Katrina pretty well obliterated everything within 2-4 blocks of the coast. Doubt that finding much with an "ocean" view is going to happen...

There is a section where the joints in the road make for a terrible ride.....I believe it's about 20 miles worth......thats going east. Going west I don't remember, you might have the same condition, overall, the roads are decent, we went thru in April and returned in late July and there was no construction.
As for a great CC, not far from New Orleans ( 1 hr), and very close to Biloxi....(beaches 3 miles south).....Wolf River RV Park.....formally Five Star Resort in Pas Christian MS.

We recently went from Houston to Orlando.... Had a great trip. We went to Destin on the way back and stayed at Topsail State Park . Very nice rv sites. It it a nature park that has a beautiful beach.

Really? You must know of a different Mississippi than the one in the USA!

You can see The Gulf of Mexico from Mississippi but you cannot see an ocean

Yep! If you drive through Louisianan from Florida to get to Mississippi, you have definitely taken the long way around.

We were on that part of the highway last year on our way East. I didn't find any difference than on any other major Interstate. It varies county by county, city by city, depending on their financial structure.

Don't worry about it, just go and have fun.

Do you really think the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean isn't the same water, just titled differently?
I guess i should of worded it differently, but i meant a water view. Sorry for the confusion.
Thank you to all that answered my question.
