Tri Fold Couch

We are considering changing out our scissor couch for one of the tri fold couches. Looking for reviews on how they are as a bed and how comfortable they are as a couch.

Thanks.

We change our old jack knife tow year ago, its a firm comfort you set on it not in it. As for a bed it beats the jack hands down, weve had an air mattress bed with the electric pump a little loud for my wife. Unless you have a large door or have someone install for you it has to be taken a part or anyway we had to. Hope that help.

The tri-folds I've seen, I would not want to sleep on. Lots of curves, valleys and bumps.

We went with a conventional sofa bed with mattress. I just had to take a few things apart to get it through the door. Not a big deal.

We've considered those but the bar in your back always seems to be an issue.

I get it. That said, we invested in a higher quality couch that seemed to deal with that bar somehow. My daughter is 260 lbs and 6ft tall and said she was very comfortable. We also ensured to invest in the upgraded mattress. When my daughter lay on the tri-fold, she said it was very uncomfortable. However, maybe there's different quality ones as well with less lumps, seams, etc.

I'm in the market for a new couch, wondering where folks go shopping for these things other than google. I've found a few that way but the selection from any one source is pretty sparse, at least of those I've explored. Seems you see some pretty nice OEM furniture in some RV's but I don't see it from vendors directly.
