Trip complete 1 regret

Well my first big trip is complete! We went from Tucson-Ft. Walton Beach for 1.5 weeks, then to Little Rock for 5 days then on to Shreveport for a week and back to Tucson. Was probably one of the best family vacations we ever had! Oh, and the purpose of this trip was to house hunt in Florida for a move later in the year. Not only did we have a heck of a vacation but, we have an accepted offer on a home as well.
Like my title says I did have 1 regret. My regret was we decided not to tow our car because we figured we would save gas mileage. Boy was I wrong we got the same! 400 miles per tank (55g) We will never vacation without our car in tow again.

Yep! fuel cost are our worst enemy. I don't keep track of fuel cost anymore. Started out on a 10 month trip from Florida to Alaska and by the time I got to Lousiana I threw out the gas receipts. To upsetting) The toad will save you money for all the side trips.
Welcome to Florida! What area are you moving to? We live in Port Orange and really like it.

Congrats on the successful trip and as you mention, yeah it's hard to leave home without the vehicle. Have a great time and hope to see you down the road.

Gee... Back in my Travel Trailer and PUP days my only regret at the end of the trip was that it was the end of the trip

I fixed that.. Now full time in a class A, trip never ends!

I have kept a log of my fuel purchases and millage for the last 50,000 miles and haven't calculated it in the last 45,000 miles. I am going to go anyway. My tank used to hold $175 and will now hold nearly $300. It must be getting flexible with age like my own body.

Yeah I hear that the more time you drive the bigger the gas tank gets .
