Took the unit in for service last week. Service thought it was dry king pins, but more grease didn't stop the noise. They finally dropped the TC and the problem went away.

The unit is only 3 years old, and has never been damaged. Blue Ox says sorry, it only has a one year warranty. Extended service will pay all but $200 for replacement, but seems like it should last longer than 3 years.

Interesting comments. Can you expand on your situation for us? In those three years how many miles did you drive? Any particular or un usual driving conditions?

Total miles driven a little over 30,000. Normal driving, only on paved roads. Mostly interstate, but some secondary roads. Some were rough in New England and western Canada, but all paved.
