Try backing this one up!

Gang,
We'd just finished some shopping at our local Walmart today and, were heading back home when, in the parking lot, we cruised by this. I gotta hand it to the gent, he's got it the way he wants. I didn't get closeup pics 'cause they were out and about doing things and, I didn't want to look like I was gawking even though I was.
If you look close, you'll see there's a dolly, behind the truck, that the fiver is connected to. I'd like to see how he loads all this and, how he unloads it. Quite impressive if you ask me.
Scott

P.S. If the owner happens to be a member of IRV2 and sees this, hope posting pics was ok with ya. As stated, very impressive. Never seen a dolly like that for hooking a fiver to.

Hmm, why didn't he just put the boat behind the 5'er? (I know, probably trying to stay under a state length limit)

I have backed about everything... four-wheel grain trailers and a 5'er with a boat behind it, to mention a couple.
I don't think I would want to try to back his rig.

These hitches are made to take the toung weight off the truck. As far as unloading the boat it's realy very simple. Two ramps off the back of the truck and a wench system.

Can we assume comely wenches. ;-)

I think I would have a couple of heft tie downs from the bow of the boat or at least the trailer to the front bumper. I can see that flipping backwards on to the trailer at hight speed.

Those dolly hitches get around exceeding the truck GVWR but doesn't do anything about exceeding the GCWR of the rig.

It's not my idea of RVing. I prefer MY way,......I tow the bassboat with the Dutch Star DP, and my wife drives the 4x4 GMC Envoy SUV. Of course, my mission might be different,...I'm talking about staying at the lake for 7 days.
