There are many threads on here about how crappy gas prices are. I am hoping this don't turn into another "why prices are so high" thread.

I just want to try to help my fellow RV'ers out. I hope you all know about the gasbuddy.com site. Just wanted to point out that a great money saver is to click the trip cost calculator tab at the top of the page. There you can input your rigs info, starting & ending point and it will give you the lowest priced gas stops on your route. The site does not have motorhomes but, you can manually put in your gas tank size and MPG.

Hope this helps you on your next adventure!

Happy RV'ing!!

We use it all the time, even around our home. It especially works well when you're camped in an area you've never been before and need fuel when you depart. We'll find the best price and while sightseeing, we'll check out the stations with a good price and see if we can easily get the M/H in.

Even when we're just pulling off of the freeway, we can often find a better priced station within a block or so. GasBuddy will also map you to the station and provide a photo of the station which sometimes lets you see if its accessible.

With our PenFed Card and GasBuddy we can save up to .30 cents a gallon or more.

Don't forget the GASBUDDY App either...

It doesn't do the routing but it is pretty good for finding best prices in an area without firing up the PC. It might help with finding an alternate in the same area. As an example, the web might say go to a Sam's Club but you don't have a membership. It's probably a good bet that another station in that area is pretty close in price. You can also use that as you travel to spot check prices. The app will also tell you when the price was last updated so you can see if it is possibly a stale price quote.

You can also update prices as you see them and earn points for "something". LOL...don't know what the points will get you but it is fun to get them.
