Tub remodel advice

We are looking at replacing the old bathtub (well, shower with a tall side) in our rv and expanding to a larger one (The current one is busted, and even if it could be fixed, is way too narrow).

The only issue standing in our way is the water heater and the closet above it. It stands directly in the way of putting a larger tub in at all. What we were thinking is removing the closet, getting a step/seat tub, and having the seat section over the water heater, assuming there is enough clearance, which I think there should be.

We don't need much more for foot space, but body space in general, which is why we are looking into this, which is why the step/seat style tub route is what is appealing to us.

Has anyone attempted this type of remodel, or have tubs with the water heater under it? I want to get the parts in within the next week or two if I am going to do it. FYI I won't be able to reply to this until Monday if you need to ask for more details.

If you need more height just add some under the tub small platform to raise it easy and simple
