Turn Signal Dilemma

I have a very perplexing turn signal problem. The MH is a 2002 condor 29 ftr on a workhorse chassis.
The turn signals work when the unit is in park but when the gear shift lever (on the column) is moved , the TS stop working. No turn signals in drive or any gear. A couple of other things that may be (probably are) related ..... The Trans/brakepedal interlock doesnot work. The gearshift lever can be moved without pressing on the brake pedal.......Also the ACC position on the ignition switch doesnot work...no radio in the acc position.
The emergency flashers work in park and in gear....kindof narrows the prob area down to the switch or a mechanical prob in the steering column???? what am i not seeing here? any ideas?

Not knowing your coach exactly, I will agree with your assessment that the column is broke.. time to pull the steering wheel.

check the signal switch on the colunm under the dash it may be loose!
