TV input problem

So I have a sunseeker gts 2800 qs model. I am on my first trip to test everything and find out the exterior plug for coaxial cable input does not work. Campground technician came and for weeks on end to fix a warranty item. the coax input above the entry door and at the exterior input no signal. I had to run the cable through a window to the dinette tv to get a picture.
So if anyone knows, is there a switch at something I am missing? Coax cable plugged in to exterior gets no signal to tv. I dread having to take the coach in for service for weeks to fix what should be a simple fix. Any ideas?

No switch that I can find

I only have one tv and in the setup menu it is set for cable. Hoping someone with a 2016/2017 sunseeker may chime in.

Hello CharlesL - I do not own a SunSeeker, but "almost" all RV's - whether motorhome, trailer, or 5ther has a switch for ether cable or roof antenna. When the switch is "on" there is usually a green LED light that glows. This indicates that the amplifier for the roof antenna is turned on. When on a campground cable system, this switch needs to be off. Also, in the "setup menu" on your TV, there should be a selection for either Cable or Antenna. The TV uses a different tuner for each. Thus you need to make sure that the antenna amp is turned off (No green LED light) and the TV is setup for cable. Once this is done, you need to "re-scan" the TV to pickup the appropriate channels on the campground cable system.
Regards

My Prism by Forest River has a barely visible black push button on the 12V outlet panel that the interior TV plugs into. This powers on the antenna amplifier for the rooftop "Jack" antenna. To get the cable to work, this button needs to be in the "OFF" position, thus turning off the antenna amplifier. Took me a year to figure this one out! Guessing you might have the same set-up. ST

I agree with the above. Look real close to make sure the amplifier for the roof antenna is off. The button is very easy to miss.

Good luck!

The king antenna button is off. The problem appears to be no output from the external coax jack. Perhaps they built this on a Friday and forgot to hook up the coax from the exterior to the tv. I will investigate when I get home later today.

The antenna is off. I think they wired the coax cable wrong. I will remove the outside plug and check if I can. Emailed forest river tech for authorization to have this fixed. Internet was slow and slower at campground. I see the first post got all messed up. Thanks for the responses.

We took delivery of our Forest River Georgetown last month. Once we were back home, I tried the cable hookup. I made sure the antenna amp was off and the signal selector was on Cable. I reprogrammed all tv's and we receive a very snowy picture on all channels. Just to double check my connections, I hooked up a spare tv I had to the cable entrance and got a perfect pic. Our new unit is going in the shop for a few things under warranty next week, so hopefully that can get to the bottom of it.
