Okeydokey, fellow RVers, I have been reading the Ultrapower thread -- very interesting comments!

HST, I was unable to find a comment re: an older MH with the Ultrapower kit -- most were 2000 and newer, powered by EFI engines, with an OBDII computer.

Here is my dilemma: I own a 1990 Airstream Land Yacht powered by a 454 TBI Chevvy. Mike tells me tht he has a kit for the OBDI TBI engines, and, I am interested in having one installed on my LY.

I would be delighted if someone on this Forum with a TBI 454 Chevvy has had the Ultrapower kit installed and would share their experience of it with the Forum. Hopefully there are other folks like me who own older coaches and are interested in better performance.

I already have a Banks PowerPack and GV overdrive, but as all gearheads are wont to do, I am looking for better performance and gas mileage.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome Taxman to irv2.
You maybe the only one that may have it done.
I have been reading thru the posts and have not seen any that have posted on the Ultra upgrade as having it done with your engine.
I will short cut your question down to the Workhorse forum maybe someone will post what your asking for.
Has Mike said he has done a coach like yours?
He and Redlands also do the upgrades and their on the forum also.
Mean while enjoy the forums and post more often.

Thanks, 007. Hopefully, someone with an older coach has had the Ultrapower installed.

Mike, in an email, told me that he could reprogram my ECU. I was wondering if anyone else had bought one for the OBDI computers.

So far, Lee, it appears that no one on this forum has an OBD1 computer that Mike has reprogrammed. Hopefully, someone will show up.

You raise an interesting point, 007: What other East Coast swings does Mike have in store?

Branson in July is not doable for us, but if Mike is going to be on East Coast in next few months, we might be able to get together.

Is there a published travel schedule?

The ralley is the only one this summer but Mike has been looking for someone on East coast to represent his products, tough area to deal with.

We just tested our first chevy motorhome with a 454 TBI engine.

1994 chevy P32

Before
HP 168 @ 2770 RPM
TQ 303 @ 2100 RPM

After
HP 232 @ 3150 RPM
TQ 371 @ 2350 RPM

I think that's pretty impressive for an OBD1 coach.
