Used units out of Texas

OK without mentioning any names or can I? How reliable/conditions are the units sold out of the large used dealer in TX?

I can only guess you are asking about PPL? If so they carry a very large inventory that changes somewhat on a weekly basis. They are a consignment dealer. I have sold a 5'er through them and purchased a MH. Both of the experiences were good. They do sell a lot of RV's and list the sold prices on their website.

As for the quality of RV's you will find from like new to could have been taken care of much better. They are all used and do not have any warranty. You may have your RV tech inspect the one your interested in for protection. PPL also does a PDI with you before delivery. Any faults are repaired at sellers expense. If seller refuses to pay for a repair then you do not have to purchase.

PPL is a no pressure sales. When you arrive they give you a list of all units in inventory with price and you visit those that are of interest without a salesman.

Good Luck.

Thanks that's one of the best description of PPL I've heard. Not all bad.

Probably the other "big Texas dealer" is Motorhome Specialists in Alvarado, south of Ft Worth. They have both dealer used inventory and consignment.

Both PPL and Motorhome Specialists are in Texas. Both have good reputations with the vast majority of RVer's. You will always have someone that does not like something but most of everyone likes both of them.

Thumbs up If PPL - Thumbs Up!

I've written about PPL before on this site. I have both bought and sold with them. All my experiences were very positive.

Osok described them very well. There is absolutely no pressure. They are honest and make both the buying and selling process as smooth and easy as can be.

I live only 15 minutes from the place and used to go up every Saturday like clockwork to see what was new. By checking the website, I always knew which coaches I wanted to look at.

One caution - pictures can be deceiving. Some look better than the pix and some look worse. The appearance ratings are about 85% accurate -- I think they depend on which appraiser reviewed the coach.

Good luck!

I looked at a Foretravel at MHSRV in Alvarado, no hassle. I was just asked if I had questions? Said that someone would be happy to help with anything I needed, just let them know.
