Took air filter out and found intake to filter is only 2 1/2", but intake out of filter can is 3 1/2".. does'nt make sense to me..Anyone modded thier V10 air filter to get more air?

I am sure K&N makes an aftermarket filter setup for yur truck.

Thanks, Chet,, they make a system and it sells for $275..I think we can mod the current system for free.. was Just wondering If any one has done it..I will and will post results..

I talked with another Ford owner one time that had drilled three 1 inch holes in the side of the filter housing. His claim was he had more power and better MPG. I think myself he had the kids syndrome of placing a cardboard in the bike spokes and thinking the bike goes faster.

Have you tried any of the "Ford Truck Owner" web sites? As a diesel owner and member of thedieselstop.com I have gotten numerous tips about mods for my truck that have saved me some big bucks.
