Wanderso, my comment extends as far as pick-up trucks, but I believe is still pertinent. My brother-in-law has been a professional logging truck driver for many years, and for most of those years he did his own mechanical and service work. He checked my vehicle one day, and suggested it was time to replace all the hoses. With the hood up, he demonstrated that many of the hoses could be compressed by hand, which he said was an indication of weakening. Makes sense to me.

Cheers,
Nick B

V10 tune up and alignment: Ford dealer claims bogus?

Took it in. The classic "no problem found" was the result. I recorded samples on my phone but the audio is too garbled to hear the examples. My next step is to connect my car chip pro to the OBDII connector and capture data over a long period of driving.

The great thing about a ford gasser is that there are parts on every corner, and generally, you will be pretty close to competent repair.

Man_ if coolant hoses should be changed every 10 years, my farm tractor is 4 changes behind.
NickB, that is what I was taught 60 years ago, and it it true today.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.
