Velvac to Lang Mekra Mirror

I want to change my Velvac mirrors to the Lang Mekra Mirrors. The problem is the wiring harness is different. Velvac uses a "round" connector (like the Polaris connector) but Lang Mekra uses a "square" connector. Can they be spliced or is there an adapter?? In other words, I have a Meridian with Velvac mirrors but want to install the Tour/Elllipse mirrors (that are Lang Mekra mirrors). Can anyone help me?

dengraham,
Well Sir, not seeing both of the connectors, size, configuration etc. it might be hard to judge if a change can take place or not. But, let's say you've got the room for a different sized connector than what came in the Lang setup. Then, what you'd have to do is, determine what wire does what in the Meridian wiring diagram and, then find the same function in the Lang setup. That is, something like find out which wire tilts it up, tilts it down, moves left, moves right, ground, etc. Then, find same wiring layout on the Lang and, now you can get a connector, whatever number of wires it requires, like a 4-pin, 5, 6 or whatever and now match the function of the Lang to the wire on the opposite side of the connector from the Meridian input to the back side of the connector. Are you seeing what I'm saying?

This might be the hard way of doing this "change-over" because there may be, some place, an adapter from the round to the square and, it also cross wires for function so you don't have to figure out what does what. Good luck.
