Vertical Pleat Curtains Sliding Down

I tried searching the site as I think this is probably covered somewhere so if a mod sees this PM me the location and delete this thread, please.

Our motorhome has pleated side and end curtains that slowly slip down as you travel. Friends have the same curtains and theirs stay where they are put for the most part.

He tells me they had their looked at by an RV repair person someplace in WA and the tech just tightened something and theirs stopped doing what our does still. Does anyone know what one has to do to fix this problem.

I'm assuming you're talking about day/night shades. There is a little spool connected to the bottom of the window on both sides where the string is tied off. Loosen that screw a bit and twist the spool to tighten up the tension on the cords. That should take care of the problem.

I pull the string down a bit and wrap it around the little spool at the bottom. Do this one direction for one of the two strings and wrap the other the opposite direction. Then do the same on the other end of the curtain. I found loostening the screw and tightening them seems to be a bit of a temporary fix.
