I have an 03 Seabreeze LX 35 foot on Ford chassis with V10 engine and at about 45 I get a vibration through the floor and seat that is similar to a tire out of round or tires that need balancing. It continues at all higher speeds. I have new tires all balanced. Still get the feeling. Not through steering wheel but only through floor and seat. Without towed car it isn't as noticable but still there. Any suggestions as to what this is?

Rig Mullin, firs let me welcome you to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. You could have tires that are out of round. Ask the tire installer if they can index the tires onto the wheels and spin balance them. Hopefully this wil take care of the issue but if not the next step would be to see if they are out of round.

If you've eliminated the tires as a cause of vibration the next culprit would probably be the driveline. I'd check the driveshaft in particular - worn out u-joints or carrier bearing will cause a vibration as you describe. It's also something you don't want to ignore because if a driveshaft comes apart while you're moving at highway speeds it can thrash around and be quite destructive to all sorts of things. Might also check for loose sheet metal, like wheel wells, mud flaps, etc.

We had a couple screws loose (ha!) on our rear wheel, drivers side, forward of the tire mud flap. Sounded like an out of balance tire to me at first. Was vibrating against the frame member ahead of it. Red loc-tite and a rubber spacer fixed that.
