Hi. our 2004 Journey has had problems with the windshield wipers starting and stopping without human intervention! After 2 years and many trips to dealer, Freightliner of Salem (Keiser) found the problem. It's an unattached ground wire.....DAH!!!
anyway, "checked out wiper intermitent operation with switch in off position FCC recommended checking chassis side of harness didn't have ground circuit completed as per FCC tie into motor ground and connect to good chassis."
Anyway, they fixed a problem that existed from the factory. Many other Freightliner locations would not even look at it...including Phoenix and San Bernadino. Thank you F/Salem, Or.

KathiE-H, thanks for the very good info. I hope one of the moderators will copy this post to the Freightliner Chassis forum.
