Wall mirror fell down
Our '04 HR had a frameless wall mirror, factory installed when new, and it held for over 12 years, until one day when it fell off, onto the floor. It did not break and I want to reattach it where it was. It had some black mirror adhesive tape stuff behind it, and there were 4 plastic clips, (2 on top, and 2 on bottom), that had 1 small screw each.
How would you reattach it? I don't know where to get that mirror thick tape. What do you think about using a J channel along the top and bottom, screwed to the wall.? I am not sure how strong the wall panel is.
I need the mirror so I can see the TV in the mirror, when sitting at the dining table. (My wife sits across from me.)

Command strips will do the trick. The strips for hanging things like pictures or mirrors lock together and are very difficult to pull apart. Use plenty of them and you will have one heck of a time getting it down once you put it up.

I would use 3M auto trim tape. It is available at auto parts stores or Walmart ...has a red peel-off backing. It comes in different widths. I have used it for a variety of vehicle related fixes both outside and in. It has never failed me.

Thanks for your helpful replies. I didn't mention that the mirror is about 30 to 32" high and 18 to 24" wide. Do you still think that the products will hold the weight? And, what if it is stored on a hot summer month where it might be 90 degrees inside? Do you still think it will still hold ok?

The 3m Auto trim tape has held on everything I have used it on ... wood trim in my Winnebago, plastic window vents on my SUV when I lived in Ohio, metal trim, wall hangings, etc. Of course, the surface needs to be clean and dry when it is applied. Other than that, I would have no reservations about it.

I guess it is getting to be that age, I had an 18x18 inch mirror fall off the wall in my 2002 Safari Trek back in August as I was driving through Bentonville, Arkansas. Mine was originally held up by a glossy tan color adhesive that appeared to have been randomly applied by a caulking gun.

I would use F-26 construction cement available at any hardware. That stuff would hold up the world!
