Good Morning

I'm planning on purchasing an extended warranty on my Mountain Aire
3651 gas motorhome when the factory warranty expires this fall. Right
now Warranty Experts looks like they have a very good policy and
price. They spell out what is excluded and are quite clear about it.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with this company? I'm
interested in how easily they process claims? Does their process cause
a lot of delays or are there any other problems? If there is a better
company that anyone can recommend, I'd appreciate knowing which one.

I've already weighed the pros and cons of extended warranties and have
made my decision that I am going to purchase one. It would be a waste
of space on this forum to open the pro and con discussion again now.

Thanks for all your help. This is a great forum.

Jack

It sounds like you are doing your homework in researching the products available. I can't help with any 1st hand experience with them, but I understand the CSP plan available through Good Sam may also be a possible option. When I looked at it they appeared to be fairly comprehensive in what they covered.

Jack,

I have purchased two contracts from Warranty Experts on two different coaches. Although I have never had to use either one, I was quite impressed with the speed the transition was done when we purchased the second coach.

I have yet to hear any negatives about Warranty Experts.

Do a search on Rv.net. I saw a post there in the last week about Warranty Experts. Apparently one of their carriers went broke.

Warranty Experts is a broker/agent - they sell extended warranty plans but do not process the claims or have anything to do with administration. Once you buy the policy, you deal with the insurer.

Warranty Experts has a good reputation as a broker and I know many satisfied customers. They try to deal only with reputable insurers, since problems reflect badly on them as the seller of the policy. That doesn't mean a policy bought through them is fool-proof, though.

Anyone bought a Freedom Roads warranty from a Freedom Roads dealer. Any claims experience?

Freedom Roads now also owns Good Sams, Camping World and a ton of dealers around the country.

Freedom Roads has some exclusive marketing agreements with Camping World, but I haven't heard that Affinity Group has sold any of its companies to FR. Affinity owns Good Sam, Camping World, Trailer Life Woodalls, Ehlarts, Coast-to-Coast, RV.Net, the Golf Card and some other brands as well.

For some unkown reason the moderators in this forum always put in a plug for warranty experts. There is quite a discussion going on right now about this company on rv-coach-net. Makes for an interesting read. If after reading this and other negative posts about this company if you still buy from them I have a bridge I could sell you real cheap.

Would you be kind enough to post the URL / address for rv-coach-net? I've tried a couple of different searches in Google and can't find it.

Thanks

I appreciate you reposting with the correct URL. I just finished scanning all the posts under the topic you mentioned. All the discussion is about American Guardian. No where that I can find do they mention the company Warranty Experts. They are two different companies. I understand Warranty Experts is just a broker and that all claims are handled by the underwriting insurance company. In my conversations with WE, they were not going to be using American Guardian as their underwriter.

Like I said, I only scanned the posts so I might have missed comments about Warranty Experts, but I don't think so.

Thanks Again for pointing out one company I will definitely avoid.

Jack
