Needing someone else's experience here....looking for "what do you do?" kind of responses. I'm posting to a couple of places to get the broadest range of responses.

Our coach came with a single filter at the water inlet and another for a spigot at the kitchen sink. We've been working on a better solution and initially put a double filter at the water source. It is right at the faucet and upstream from everything else, this was to improve pressure, which it did after we removed the filter cartridge from the original filter housing.

Now we have added a water softener. A little "On the Go" model. We are trying to decide do you put it in front of the other 2 filters or behind? Behind would seem to save on the regeneration process so that is what we are thinking.

Now....has anyone moved all this inside? We are looking at doing this only because now everything is sitting outside and subject to theft. Plus every time it approaches freezing temps we must disconnect everything and move it all inside. Installing inside would eliminate having to do this since it would be in the heated water bay and we would just have to disconnect and bring in the hose connected to the faucet.

So hoping any of you that have done some major rework of your water works would share what you have done and pictures if that would help to illustrate. Thanks very much in advance.

I have installed a water filter on the inlet side, just after the hose reel, in the water bay along with a "on the go" water softener following that. I have a very small water bay but was able to hang the filter and stand the softener just inside it. I use quick disconnects to be able to pull the softener out to recharge it.

This set up works great for security and heat. I do not have any pic's right now, but if you PM me I will send you some next weekend.

Chris

DonnaB, Here is a system installed by one of our own RO water sys that should give you some ideas. If you have to many filters water flow will become effected.
