Hi, I have a 2000 winnebago adventurer and am having water comming out of a vent tube in back of the compartment where the water and sewer are located.This

just started. I have no idea what is going on. Talked to winnebago and they did not help.Told me that it was a drain line.I have no idea what to do?????

Is your fresh water tank full? It has an overflow vent.

Could it be the black water tank flush if it is there is a check valve/air brake that could be bad.

I think what your seeing is the vent or over flow tube draining from the fresh water tank. If you fill the fresh water tank to full it drain at about the point your saying. Mine if I over fill will drain out about 4 or 5 gallons.

I have a 2004 Sightseer 35 N. I had a similar problem. My wife was behind me one day on the way to the dealership & she reported to me that water was spraying out under the left rear side of the coach while underway. It turns out that the watertank was full & when it sloshes around it does come out of the overflow. On our coach you can see the overflow hose in the water bay.
My solution was to put a SOV (shut off valve) in line on the oveflow hose in the water bay just above the floor of the compartment. The problem with doing that is that you have to remember that when you are filling the tank to open the SOV or to leave the fill door open on the side of the coach or both. Otherwise when you are filling the tank it may pressurize & rupture the fresh water tank especially if you leave it unattended while filling or if the fill hose water pressure is high. When done filling let it vent/drain some if you let it overfill so you wont have a bulging tank. If you do decide to drive off with a full tank make sure it is not overfilled then close the SOV and the fill door if that was also opened. Closing the SOV will stop you from losing water out the overflow while under way.

If you are sitting still and this happens you may have the same experience that I did. My valve to fill the tank while hooked up to city water started leaking. It was leaking slowly and after the tank got full the excess water started coming out of the overflow tube. Had to replace the fill valve to fix the problem. Or you may have bumped the valve and turned it partially on.

I had the same thing with my 2000 35U. I'm sure it's the drain line. Just let it go until it stops. A littls clean water on the road never hurt anyone

I don't think there's a need for me to add any new information. I just wanted to let you know that I also have a 2000 Winn Adventurer, and I agree with the other posters that it does sound like the overflow tube. You can either not worry about it or install a check valve like mentioned in an above post. We haven't taken the time to worry with ours.

The other idea of Darrel's did happen to us once, though. The city water valve was inadvertantly bumped and we did lose some water that time for that reason. So now we make sure that it is off if not planning to use the city water. I see that that was your first post, so welcome Homer Barney!

THANK YOU all for your help and advice. I checked the fresh water tank,and it was dry. Seems that it happens in the morning and then its ok the rest of the day. I am taking everyones advice and not worrying about it. THANK YOU for the welcome to this great site. I will be checking in everyday to read the forms. A lot of GREAT information here. Homer
