My coach cannot use hose pressure when connected to a hose it only will use water from the holding tank I cannot trrn off the pump help please Bob & Suzzanne

There should be a valve near your hose connection to the coach. One way is to fill the tank, the other position is to take water directly from the tank using the pump. The valve should turned not to take water from the tank. And the switch for the pump should be in the off position.

There are two items here - one, you cannot turn off the pump. Is there a fuse in line that can be pulled? Adjacent to the pump there is commonly the little control box with 4 wires (if my memory serves me). This controls the pump. maybe you should remove & re-seat the wires, if possible. Worst case, it may have crapped out. Second, there is commonly a valve that needs to be opened to allow city water to flow to the tank. When the tank is filling, need to remain close by to be sure the tank dosen't overfill - that could crack the tank. When full, close that valve, or really weird things happen.

When I turn the valve to fill the tank the pump runs while filling the tank I can not control the pump with switches inside or out. Trun the valve back and I have water on demand with the pump running and the hose hooked up still cant control the pump

Sounds to me as though the pump relay has shorted closed. Your pump switches don't go direct to the pump - they each are wired to a pump control relay and that actually passes power to the pump. It's a fairly simple part, but it can fail. It is usually near the pump - trace the pump power circuit back from the pump to find it. Or call Newmar and ask where it is.

Yep - sure sounds like the control board has crapped out. Hopefully, you have the manual that covers it, and you'll get the phone number and call tech support. On a good day, if you sound pathetic enough, they just might send you a new (rebuilt) unit at no charge.

Welcome to irv2.
You have 4 switch's with a bath and 1/2 one is in your water bay, one in both bathrooms and one in your display area for tank levels, battery cutoff,water heater etc.etc.
If your small green led is lit in display area find the switch thats on and you should fix your problem.

I'll bet 007 has the answer. Dumb me forgot all about that all the switches must be off for the pump to be off. I'll remember it in a few weeks when the Gkids arrive. If there is a button, they will press it.
