When I turn the water pump on we had little to no pressure in the coach, I went outside checked everything, to find water running out of the fill hose (hose is on reel) when pump is on. I have no changed pump or any hose connections, just filled tanked and tried to use pump. The fill tank switch is in the correct position. Any help?

If you have a outside washing hose with hot/cold faucets, make sure that they are both turned off. Also try turning the screw on the head of your water pump a small amount. It will set the pressure up some.

There is a check valve in the system, probably where the hose from the reel attaches to the motorhome, that allows water to flow inward but not outward. It sounds like your check valve has failed. Sometimes they can leak due to debris, but with water "running out" it sound like the check valve has totally failed.

If you could cap the hose, or put a sprayer head, etc on it that you could turn off, your system would work fine until you can get the check valve replaced -- only thing is that your hose would be pressurized along with your plumbing but that should hurt anything as it is always pressurized when you are on shore water.

Thank you , I normally keep it capped to keep it somewhat clean, put cap back on and now I have good pressure inside. Will put in on the todo list for the fine folks at Newmar for my appt. Monday 22 Sept. Thanks again.
