My awning won't unroll. It had been several weeks since I last used it. I checked and there is power to the awning. The fuse inside the control box is OK and no wind to keep it closed. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check your contacts in the switch that activates it. We had the door awning open a while back and it would not retract. I bundled it up tied it up. Dropped the coach off for maintenance work and when the tech hit the retract side of the switch, it rolled right up.

Hi Jim,
Consider moving the switch that controls the auto retract feature to the disable position. The switch should be located on the awning control box. Then try the awning. On many awnings, of this brand, if the weather sensor is wet, the awning will not open. If this is the problem and you disable the feature the awning will open. Once the sensor dries out, the awning will open with the auto retract feature enabled.

You have actually measured voltage AT the motor awning? If so it's a motor. If it won't extend, but does retract, you have an interlock issue where the awning thinks the trannie is in gear, or brake released, etc. I had this on mine early on and found a multi-pin Molex like connector not properly seated under the dash up against the firewall. One of the loose pins was the awning extend lockout.

I experienced the same problem a couple of days ago after non use for about a month. I was lucky because the repair person was there to troubleshoot my weather pro for another problem. He pressed the button and could hear the click at the motor but the awning would not open. He went to the rear arm and manually pulled it to unstick it and it worked fine. I tried it again after he left and I had to pull on the rear arm again, don't know why after a couple of years of working fine but at least I know what to do now. Hope it works for you also

Hi,thanks for all the great responses. I finally had a chance to do some troubleshooting. I was able to extend and retract the awning by applying 12V to the motor directly. I also measured 12V from the ignition interlock with the key on and 0V with the key off. Is that right? I have 12V on the supply from the coach,so I am guessing the problem is in the control box. Thanks.
