We just weighed our 2008 Allegro 32LA Ford and got the following weights.
Total weight: 18320
Front axle: 6880
Rear axle: 11460

When weighed the MH had a full tank of gas, full water tank and one person on board, weight 145.
Per Tiffin the GCWR is 26000, the GVWR is 20500, the GAWR rear is 13500, the GAWR front is 7000 and the UVW is 17160.

What tire pressure should I be running? By the brake there is a plaque indicating 80psi which seems very low. How do I compute the correct tire presure. The MH has 19.5 tires.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert & Evelyn

It depends on what tire you are running.
Go to the tire manufacturer's web site for a weight/pressure chart.
OBTW, if you have the same tire as what came with the MH, the chart gives you the pressure for a load of the max lbs on your GVWR. I have 19.5 tires on mine and the original Goodyears were rated at 85# for a GVWR of 20,500# on a ford F-53 chassis.

Wow . . a front seat passenger and you're over on the front axle!! Time to start moving some freight to the rear!!

Alternatives: Check with the coach manufacturer and see how much of the GAW is hardware and how much is tire. it ispossible that you may be able to do a tire upgrade (larger cross section) and raise it safely.

As stated - go to your tire manufacturers' website and get the loading data for your particular tire, size , etc. Even different sizes within the same tire model have different inflation requirements.

If you need to go very high on pressures - make sure you check the rims. Most 19.5's are only rated for ~90 psi, regardless of the tire on them. No good overinflating the tire if all it'll do is blow the rim apart.
