I'm planning on a trip out west via Interstate mostly, I-90 going out to washington state then southward to calf, arizona. I have a 1994 coach 36 ft with 230 intercooled turbo 6 sp allison towing jeep grand cherokee. I was wondering if a unit like mine would have any problems (considering everything in good shape) with the pulls an descending grades. I have travel most of the east , NC< VA< TN< KY< W VA< and a lot of grades here are 6, 7, 9, even 10 % and I have pulled these with no problem, going up or down. But here in the east most grades are no more then 2, 3, to 5 miles long. any advice, help, or info, tipes, would be appreaciated, thanks

Hi tom41, We live out west in Nevada and we have traveled I-90 on several occasions with our gas rig. If you've navigated 7 to 10% grades with your rig, you won't have any problems on your trip out west. Just use your exhaust brake descending rades and snub brake to maintain a safe downhill speed.

Good luck, travel safe, and have all the fun you can handle on your journey out west.

Jim
