My DW just calls it "The bitch". Once when we were going from Rapid City, SD to Ft Collins, CO, via Wyoming, DW turned the bitch off and we ended up going through Nebraska! What heck, we got another state to add to our map, and our granddaughters got another souvenir spoon.

"Tom Tom Dumb Dumb" even though it is a Garmin. It is because I think it is the dumb one and it is me that is the dumb one for not listening to it. Just like a woman, always right we just hate to admit it.

My wife calls ours the 'tart'. I had a Mini Cooper with a built in GPS. When we travel, she navigates and I drive. We were out camping and were on our way somewhere, she went into a store for something and I was fiddling with the GPS. When she got back in the car, she said, 'You're cheating on me.', referring to the GPS. From that moment on, it was the 'tart'. Naturally, the GPS in a Mini Cooper has a British accent.

We called the female "Naggie Maggie", changed to the male voice who we refer to as "Jack on Crack".

Ours is called EeBee, like Rusty or sometimes BeeBee. First B ... you guess and the second Bee is for Betty.

I resort to RustyJC's description, without the Ee, quite frequently. Epecially when she continues to nag to turn around after about 10 exits. Just never gives up and recaculates.

We call ours Mz Garmin or the "B**ch in the Box" depending on how she is behaving. She has to get a life and realize it is not the end of the world if she has to recalculate. She gets so disappointed in me. But she really sounds like someone I would like to party with when we "arriving at destination". Little things make her sound so happy.

We call ours Edna. I think the kids named her after the Edna character on "The Incredibles." You know the one who doesn't listen to anyone and does whatever she wants!

We have two Garmin units.

The one in the Saturn is set for a British accent (and therefore really mangles all the Spanish place names in California). We call her "The Dutchess."

The one in the Bounder is "Fifi."

I like the name a friend of mine gave to his GPS unit: "Greta Garmin."
