what do you polish your countertops with?
I have Corian type counter tops (not sure of the actual brand). I don't use anything abrasive on them as a rule, but since we got it, there are blotchy spots that I'd like to clean up, but can't. Some parts are dull, then there are shiny blotches. There is no discoloration though. It's only noticeable when the lights are on.
The countertops are beige.
I picked up some Goddard's polish cream (it's not gritty, seems basically like a lotion)...but it didn't really help. Seems like nice stuff though, just can't let it dry, or it leaves even more blotches haha.

The polish you purchased is NOT for Corian... Any Lowes or Home Depot has a specific polish for Corian (a manmade product)

good to know, thanks! It was actually some kid (well, he was actually my age, but) from Home Depot that sold me this stuff. I should've known better than listen to a 20-something yr old lol

The Goddards is ok - it won't hurt the corian (aka "solid surface"), but they make stuff labeled "corian and solid surface' polish too. None of it does much more than put a shine on it, though. If it is stained or scratched, you need an abrasive that will actually polish it down and remove the top layer. You can do that with solid surface cause the color goes all the way through.
I use polishing pads on my orbital sander when the surfaces get bad. Start out at 500 or 1000 grit (depending on how bad it is) and work my way up to 4000 grit, which is where you get a nice shine.

Camping World carries a product called "Protect All Shine +". If you get it make sure it is the Shine +. It works on everything in the motor home, including the Corian counter tops. I have had great success with it. Only problem is, I can only find it at Camping World.

I use Dry Wash N Guard (DWG) for the interior on the interior and DWG for the exterior on the exterior. They also have a metal polish that works well on alum wheels.
