I have used mine for tailgating, NASCAR Races, daughters Birthday Party to go to dinner, Chauffeur my parents on their wedding anniversary to dinner, visit friends, for extended stay while a family member was in the hospital at the hospital parking lot, and hunting trips.

Does anyone use their RV for major events like Oshkosh or a large 4th of July celebration?

Tailgate at college football games 2 or 3 times per year. About 75,000 people, so, pretty major.

The annual Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca Raceway!!

They have an RV camping area at the track. I've been to the races a number of times but not with an RV yet. Possibly this summer or the next for sure. Great fun to watch all the rare and exotic and highly valuable vintage Ferraris and the rest of them race flat out. I can feel the adrenalin as I type! I even met Jay Leno once and got his autograph.

Volunteering ...

Examples that I can readily think of: RV-Care-Vanners with Habitat for Humanity, Nomads, UMCOR

Bonneville Speed Week. Hotels in Wendover (or affectionately called Bendover for Speedweek....) are expensive and most have minimum stays required. Can dry camp for free right off the salt. Best to take another vehicle to drive onto the salt each day. Around 2nd-3rd week of Aug, hot temps and fast racing.

Close to home for me and already mentioned is Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, usually around 2nd week of Feb.

Virtually every horse show/event across the USA will have lots of motorhomes for sleeping and trailer towing. Great daytime escape from the summer sun and rains.
